Broadbill Swordfish (Xiphias gladius)
Remains of One found at the head of Loch Fyne in 1994, it measured 8' long and was estimated to have weighed around the 150lb mark.

Broadbill Swordfish (Xiphias gladius)
One found floating near the head of Loch Long on 9/08/97 by local man, Tony Hebson. The fish is thought to have only been dead for a day or so and was intact, it measured 8' 10" from the tip of its bill to the fork of the tail and had a girth of 47" and was estimated at around 250lb.
